AW99703 is a highly accurate, highly matching three-string LCD backlighting power solution. It is a highly integrated step-up DC-DC converter operating with a wide input voltage from 2.7V to 5.5V ａｎｄ a temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, accommodating 1-cell lithium ion battery ｏｒ 5V supply.
The AW99703 integrates a high voltage MOSFET, ａｎｄ three high accuracy, high voltage current sinks. Each current sink can be regulated up to 29.6mA ｉｎ backlight mode. Ｉｎ flash mode, flash current sink can be regulated up to 79.9mA, ａｎｄ flash timeout can be regulated up to 1.5sec.
The LED current is adjusted via an I2C interface ｏｒ
through a logic level PWM input. The PWM duty cycle is internally sensed ａｎｄ mapped to an 11-bit linear current.
Thorough protection features include LED fault (open ａｎｄ short) detection, cycle-by-cycle current-limit protection, output over-voltage protection ａｎｄ thermal shutdown.
