Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION The AW35613 is a single-chip USB Type-C port protection device that provides Short-to-VBUS 32VDC tolerance and IEC ESD protection. The AW35613 protects the CC pins without interfering with normal operation by providing over-voltage protection on the CC pins. The device integrated high voltage FETs in series with the CC lines. These channels will shut off if a voltage above OVP threshold is detected, isolating the rest of the system from the risk of high voltage. The device supports moisture detection on C_CC pins, when LPDEN is high and VBUS is not present. Besides, the AW35613 integrates IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection for the external pins in Type-C connector as CC1 and CC2, eliminating the necessity of the external TVS on the connector.
