Description
The AWP36420 is a LED flash driver that provides a high level of adjustability within a small solution size. The AWP36420 utilizes a 2MHz or 4MHz fixed-frequency synchronous boost converter to provide power to the 2A constant current LED sources. The 256 levels current sources provide the flexibility to adjust the current of LED in Flash/Torch/IR modes. The Breath mode supports 1024 levels current configurations and is suitable for small current step applications. The AWP36420 provides two voltage range optional IVFM protection to prevent system reset or shutdown under low battery condition.
The AWP36420 is controlled via an I2C - compatible interface. The main features of the AWP36420 include: flash/torch current, flash timeout duration, and IVFM. The AWP36420 also provides hardware flash/torch pin (STROBE/TORCH) to control Flash/Torch events.
The 2MHz or 4MHz switching frequency options, overvoltage protection (OVP), and adjustable current limit allow for the use of tiny, low-profile inductors and 10µF ceramic capacitors. The device operates over a -40°C to +85°C ambient temperature range.
The AWP36420 is available in small 0.4mm pitch FCQFN 1.6mm×1.2mm×0.55mm -10L package.
