The 16th Songshan Lake China IC Innovation Summit Forum grandly opened on June 3 in Songshan Lake, Dongguan, under the theme: "Innovative ICs for 'AI Glasses'." I. Small Form Factor, Long Battery Life, High Sound Quality: AWA88188 Addresses Three Core Pain Points of AI Glasses

Focusing on the central theme of "Innovative ICs for AI Glasses," Awinic unveiled the AWA88188 ultra-low-power, ultra-compact smart audio amplifier chip, precisely meeting the critical needs of AI glasses: "small form factor, long battery life, and high sound quality."

AWA88188 Highlights:

1) Advanced Process, Low Power Consumption
The AWA88188 utilizes an advanced 55nm BCD process. Through architectural optimization and low-power circuit design, it achieves a 36% reduction in quiescent power consumption compared to previous generations, significantly extending the battery life of end devices.

2) Ultra-Compact Package
The chip features an extremely compact package, with a 40% reduction in chip area and a 50% reduction in board area for the inductor-free solution (compared to the previous generation), making it perfectly suited for the confined spaces inside AI glasses.

3) High Sound Quality Enabled by Feitian DSP™ 5.0
The AWA88188 is equipped with a high-computing-power, self-developed DSP (200 MCPS), eliminating platform computing limitations. It integrates proprietary algorithms for noise suppression and surround sound, delivering high-definition audio output without relying on external processors. This ensures clear call quality and an immersive listening experience, providing reliable support for voice interaction and audio playback in AI glasses.

The Awinic Dijiang™ Uplink Audio Algorithm is a recently launched series of uplink audio algorithms by Awinic.
