【New Product Launch】AWINIC Unveils High-Precision, Low-Noise Rail-to-Rail Operational Amplifier AWS796X2

2025-08-04

In the intelligent era of the Internet of Everything, electronic devices are pursuing slimmer designs and more powerful computing capabilities; sensors and control systems in new energy vehicles have extremely stringent requirements for signal accuracy; high-end scientific research instruments are constantly pushing the boundaries of measurement to the extreme. The core driving force behind all this is inseparable from a key component in the signal chain — the operational amplifier. However, traditional operational amplifiers are facing unprecedented challenges: How can weak signals be transmitted clearly in high-noise environments? How can high-speed data streams ensure zero distortion? How can performance remain stable under extreme temperatures? As the tide of information surges forward, the "nerve endings" of devices need a more precise "signal commander."

AWINIC's AWS796X2 series of ultra-high-precision, low-noise CMOS operational amplifiers includes two product lines: AWS79632 and AWS79652. These amplifiers boast excellent performance characteristics such as ultra-low input offset voltage, low-voltage operation, rail-to-rail input and output, exceptional bandwidth and slew rate, as well as ultra-low distortion. The operational amplifiers are unity-gain stable and feature ultra-low input bias current, making them highly suitable for applications such as high-precision signal sampling and sensors.

Key Parameters of AWS796X2

Main Applications of AWS796X2

Ultra-low Input Offset Voltage

Input offset voltage (VOS) refers to the additional voltage that needs to be compensated at the input to make the output of the operational amplifier zero. The magnitude of VOS affects the accuracy and error of the entire system's output. With a maximum input offset voltage of 8.5µV, the AWS796X2 is highly suitable for high-precision applications.

Ultra-low Equivalent Input Noise

Equivalent input noise, also known as 1/f noise, is a non-periodic signal that cannot be calibrated. Therefore, noise must be considered for high-precision applications. 1/f noise is the main noise factor at low frequencies and can cause significant output voltage drift when the circuit gain is high. Thanks to its chopper architecture, the AWS796X2 can suppress 1/f noise, making it an ideal choice for DC high-precision applications. In the 0.1-10Hz frequency range, the amplifier's voltage noise is only 250nVpp @ VCC=5V. The figure below shows that the output of the AWS796X2 remains stable when used for ADC data acquisition.
