The AW99706A is a highly accurate, highly matching six-string LCD backlighting power solution for notebook. It is a highly integrated step-up DC-DC converter operating with a wide input voltage for 2.7V to 24V and a temperature range from -40°C to 85°C.
The AW99706A integrates a high voltage MOSFET and six high accuracy, high voltage current sinks. Each current sink can be regulated up to 50mA. The LED current can be adjusted via an I2C interface in through a PWM signal. The PWM dimming resolution is up to 12-bit.
The AW99706A supports 100kHz to 1.6MHz switching frequency. Flexible selection of switching frequency according to efficiency and component size.
Thorough protection features include over temperature, over current protection, input undervoltage lockout, LED open and short detection. The protection status will be showed in register.
