AW32012是一款高度集成的锂离子/锂聚合物电池线性充电器,具有系统电源路径管理。AW32012的充电过程包括:预充、快速充电和恒压调节。充电参数和工作模式可通过I2C接口编程。充电过程自动进行,充电完成后电池电压降到VBAT_REG - VRCH以下时进行复充。
AW32012的目标是空间有限的便携式应用。该芯片可以从交流适配器或USB端口输入电源,为系统负载供电并为电池充电。同时,该芯片通过限制输入到系统的电流和电池到系统的电流,提供系统短路保护功能。这些功能可以有效地保护电池或芯片免受损坏。输入限流、放电限流、安全定时器等参数可通过I2C接口编程实现。此外,芯片集成输入过压保护,输入欠压锁定和输入裕量电压等功能用于检测有效输入源。
AW32012将充电路径与系统电源分离,实现电源管理功能。系统供电优先,不依赖于电池的存在。一旦输入端出现不良的限电适配器,AW32012首先会降低充电电流,如果系统负载对于输入源来说仍然太大,AW32012将减小输入系统电流,防止输入源被拉下。在这种情况下,当系统电压低于电池电压30mV时,电池到系统供电路线完全接通,为系统负载供电。
