2022年9月27日，字节跳动旗下子公司PICO于青岛召开新品发布会，发布搭载多款艾为芯的新一代VR一体机——PICO 4系列。这是继9月22日PICO全球新品发布会后，PICO 4系列在国内的正式亮相。
PICO 4系列采用了Pancake光学方案，头显的外观更加轻盈小巧，不含绑带及电池的重量仅为295g。同时，PICO 4系列采取了前后平衡式的设计方案，降低了佩戴时的压脸感，配合后置电池仓设计及防滑PU皮革材质，将使用户的佩戴体验更舒适，真正做到久戴不累。

PICO 4系列支持62-72mm瞳孔间距调整，通过设置菜单进行精确调整，头显搭载艾为步进马达驱动，驱动电机实现VR头显的自动瞳距调节。其支持32微步；4种Decay Mode，包括Adaptive Tune；Max Output current 1.4A；Iquiescent 4.5mA；Istandby 1.2μA。
全新手柄，采用上下缠绕设计追踪环，内置50-500Hz宽频线性马达。
触觉和交互方面，PICO 4系列的HyperSense振感手柄整体采用星环弧柱设计，搭载艾为手产品线王牌产品——艾为高压线性马达驱动，awinicTikTap®️雷振子4D高品质振动软硬件一体化触觉解决方案搭配PICO 4系列的宽频线性马达，带来高品质的振感体验。
艾为在VR系统端的软硬件total solution方案具有多重优势，一方面在不增加蓝牙传输架构基础上，可以实现不同场景的触觉反馈沉浸式体验和交互，例如电影、游戏、社交的触觉体验。

通过弧柱中放置的红外传感器，还可实现精准的头手6DoF空间定位。得益于宽频线性马达的使用，用户可以在不同场景中，体会到不同程度的振感反馈。
比如，在钓鱼类运动健身应用《实况钓鱼》中，当即将要钓到的“鱼”在诱饵周围游动时，用户可以感受鱼竿的颤动幅度，从咬钩的瞬间到整个上鱼的过程能体会到钓鱼时的细腻手感，这一切都归功于具有超宽频率的HyperSense振感手柄。
此外，在特定游戏场景下需要捕捉眼部表情，PICO 4系列还内置艾为灯语®️系列产品——艾为直驱型呼吸灯驱动，用于实现驱动红外补光的功能。其还内置艾为LCD Bias，驱动屏幕画面实现不同色彩。
官方表示，除硬件方面的迭代升级外，PICO还在全球发布会上官宣一系列应用巨作与VR内容，包括推出VR健身应用《莱美搏击》，联动Discovery频道和顶级探险家Ed Stafford德爷推出VR探险节目等。

The new VR headset PICO 4 series with the industry-leading Pancake optical solution was officially unveiled. This marks PICO's debut since it was merged into ByteDance，the tech giant in China. Upgraded Specifications and New Features
•Pancake Optical Solution
PICO 4 is equipped with the industry-leading Pancake optical solution, compared to the traditional Fresnel lens, it has less weight and a smaller size, which can significantly enhance the user’s wearing comfort. Meanwhile, it offers a 105° perspective, a significant improvement in clarity, which can bring users a more immersive VR experience.
•4K+ Super-Vision Display
The PICO 4 is equipped with two 2.56-inch Fast-LCD screens that can achieve a refresh rate as high as 90Hz. As well as resolution in excess of 2K per eye, plus a PPI performance of up to 1200. Images in VR must be completely vivid and life-like.
•Colour See Through
It comes with four cameras to support a full-color see through feature that creates mixed reality. While wearing the PICO 4, it only takes one simple click to deal with any ‘interference’ from the real world.
•HyperSense Vibration Controllers
The PICO 4 is equipped with new HyperSense vibration controllers. Controllers have built-in broadband linear motors, awinic haptic driver and awinicTikTap®️ 4D Vibration Algorithm. Vibration frequency ranges from 50Hz to 500Hz. This creates realistic sense of touch and vibration in the users’ VR world. Every move on screen is given precisely the right vibration feedback.
•5300 mAh High Capacity Battery
At the rear there is a high capacity 5300mAh battery that goes on the back of the users’ head to aid balance. And no matter how long the users wear it, they can play non-stop.
•Eye and Face Tracking
The major difference between PICO 4 and the PICO 4 Pro is that the Pro has three infrared cameras for eye and face tracking.

Different users have different interpupillary distances. Through the application of awinic stepper motor driver IC which is smooth, precise, fast and quiet, PICO 4 can automatically adjust the interpupillary distance, which makes it more suitable for different users.
•awinic Direct Breathing LED Driver + awinic LCD Bias
awinic direct breathing LED driver has built-in MCU + Flash, which can intelligently identify biometric information. Through the built-in awinic direct breathing LED driver, the function of eye expression recognition can be realized to carry out infrared fill light. While the awinic LCD Bias product drives the screen to achieve different colors.
